Available shifts are between 4 to 12 hours (casual, part-time and full-time), allowing flexibility to spend time with family or get in some exercise before a shift and other things that really matter when building a sustainable work roster.

 

You will be able to provide the best possible care for patients, using all the right equipment. Whilst interacting with, and learning from, a supportive specialist team (Internal Medicine, Surgery, Imaging, Ophthalmology).

The Austin Urgent Care:

The daily work will revolve around providing immediate medical attention for pets requiring care, and tending to the hospitalised patients. You will be able to provide the best possible care for patients, using all of the equipment you would expect of a specialist centre. On a daily basis, you will interact, and learn from, a supportive specialist team, who are available 24/7 either in person or on call.

About the role:

The Austin Urgent Care service is available 24 hours per day Monday to Sunday with a rotation of shifts on mornings, evenings and nights (up to 4 shifts per week supporting the work life balance to work around your life commitments).

 

Casual and permanent positions are available. The roster will rotate through various shifts from Monday to Sunday. Financial loading and other incentives apply providing an attractive salary which will grow with you as you develop your career.

 

 

About The Austin:

We are young but ambitious with lofty standards. Our custom-built clinic (1200m2) is designed around a synergistic approach to patient care. Between specialist departments in surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology and imaging, we work as one team to ensure outstanding patient care and exceptional customer service.

 

Our specialist centre has all the instruments necessary to enable our team to relish their chosen careers, and flourish. This includes intensive care facilities, large central treatment area, surgery wing, full suite of imaging equipment and dedicated medicine room.

 

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and expertise:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of demonstrable patient care experience

  • Veterinary degree that is recognised in South Australia

  • Desire to develop career in Urgent Care/Emergency

  • Be passionate about, and have a proven track record of, delivering the highest standards of patient care, going above and beyond to help our clients and their pets.

  • Possess initiative and a positive mindset
